Join us for a seven-week contemplative circle where we will spend time with the Lord’s Prayer, lingering over each phrase, listening for love.
Rowan Williams said, “We ought to expect there to be a little more of us at the end of any time of prayer.”
Jesus gave us the gift of The Lord’s Prayer to help us to grow into the kind of intimacy with the Father that he had. Each phrase is an invitation to listen to love and to grow into that love, as our hearts are stretched toward God through prayer.
During this seven-week series, we will engage a variety of contemplative practices as we work our way through the Lord’s Prayer together. Each week we will take the time to listen to the love contained in each phrase so that we can grow up into the fullness of Christ. Or, as The Message puts it, “God wants us to grow up, to know the whole truth and tell it in love—like Christ in everything.”
